The Pathology of Prostate Cancer and an Open Forum Q & A

Dr. Jim Huehnergrath M.D. will be with us to present information on the Gleason grading system and it’s importance in helping our health care team determine the best course of action to treat prostate cancer.  He encourages interactive discussion and will be happy to answer your questions.    Dr. Huehnergrath is a graduate of Oregon Health and Science University and has more than 33 years anatomical pathology and clinical pathology experience.

6:00-7:00: Meet with men who have been recently diagnosed or who have a rising PSA after treatment.

7:00-7:15: Chapter business and membership concerns.  

 7:15-8:15:  The role of pathology in diagnosis of PCa is probably one of the least understood areas.   What does a Gleason 4+3 really mean?  Dr. Jim Huehnergarth, a recently retired Pathologist, will be here to help educate us in the importance and role of pathology in correctly diagnosing and making treatment decisions for our cancer.  Hope to see you there.
